As mayor, I will advocate for responsible, low-density development that aligns with Dardenne Prairie’s comprehensive plan. I have consistently supported our community’s vision and never approved tax abatements for large developers. I am the only candidate with this record and will continue to prevent overdevelopment, prioritize small businesses, and preserve our city’s unique character.
My campaign is funded by small donations from local people, not major developers and special interest groups. Small business owners, families, churchgoers, and normal everyday people are supporting me because they know I have their back. As Alderman, I have always been dedicated to the people of Dardenne Prairie and I will continue to stand with you.
Our city leaders must have integrity, honesty, and transparency when making important decisions. As Mayor, I will not give in to the pressures from big developers and special interest groups. The people of Dardenne Prairie deserve to have a voice in their government, and I am that voice.
Keith Widaman, a St. Charles County native, grew up working on local farms and construction sites. In 2001, just before 9/11, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving eight years as a non-commissioned officer with multiple overseas deployments, including Iraq, Haiti, and Somalia.
Keith Widaman’s campaign for mayor of Dardenne Prairie reflects his roots as a Marine veteran and lifelong resident. His time in the Marine Corps taught him leadership and perseverance, skills he now pledges to bring to city governance. As a Dardenne Prairie mayor candidate, Keith emphasizes economic balance and resident-centered policies, drawing from his service and alderman experience.
After his honorable discharge in 2009, Keith used his GI Bill to earn a B.A. from Mizzou, where he led the Mizzou Student Veteran Association. He then pursued a Master’s at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, completing a legislative fellowship in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2014.
Keith spent a decade as a management consultant with Accenture, supporting federal agencies, before transitioning to his current role as an IT program manager in the Department of Defense. He also holds an Executive Certificate from MIT’s Sloan School of Business.
He lives in Dardenne Prairie, MO, with his wife Maria, their two children, and their beloved dog.
